During my PhD, I developed new algorithms for 3D image analysis (normal vectors, surface area, curvature...) and applied these algorithms to obtain a simple model that simulate the isothermal metamorphism of a 3D snow sample. An experiment of snow metamorphism followed by X-ray microtomography at the ESRF was realized and the results obtained showed a fairly good agreement with the simulation.
